Get into Cooking Graduates Celebrate

Eight unemployed young people took their first steps to a new career when they graduated from The Prince’s Trust’s ‘Get into Cooking’ programme.  The programme was delivered and hosted by NWRC, and has been specifically tailored give unemployed 16-to-25-year-olds the confidence, skills and training to find a job in the catering sector.

Young people on the programme gained accredited qualifications in food safety, first aid and units towards catering. They also completed an eight day work placement with employers such as Roe Park Resort, Mandarin Palace, Saffron, Cromore Halt, Custom House, Everglades Hotel, Brown’s in town, White Horse Hotel and developed their teamwork, communication and interview skills.
