North West Regional College has been declared
a Healthy Workplace by a panel of judges from Simply Health UK, following
recognition of its commitment and a positive approach to the health and
wellbeing of its employees.
Kate Duffy, Director of Human Resources and
Learner Services at the College commented, ‘As an organisation we’re delighted
to receive the Healthy Workplace Award. Not only is this a prestigious accolade
for the college it also recognises our commitment to the health and wellbeing
of our employees and the work we are doing for the long term benefit of our
staff. We will continue to act in the best interests of our staff and explore
innovative and creative ways to improve their health and wellbeing.’
The College has now launched the It's for You! Health and Wellbeing programme for staff in partnership with ‘Health@Work Northern Ireland’.
As part of this Programme the College has
held many events with further events scheduled to highlight Physical Health, Mental
Health and General Wellbeing of employees.
