College Students are Childcare Degree Top Achievers

For the fourth year in succession, a student from our College has been acknowledged as the best performing student in the Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies course.  Delivered in each of the FE Colleges across NI, the College has had four cohorts of learners complete the course, and in each it has attained the top student achieving the highest marks award. This year’s programme saw local student Kerry Curley finish as the highest achiever from a total of over 100 students. Kerry started the course after completing a Degree in English and wanted to change direction for her career. While completing the course, she found herself in paid employment in her placement and now hopes to progress to permanent employment. Fellow classmates Kim Redden and Claire Cross also achieved the 2nd and 3rd highest achievers awards and whilst completing the course managed to gain full-time jobs within the sector.
